Mr. Gianopolus is the owner and managing attorney of the law firm. Mr. Gianopolus began his career defending business owners, corporations and physicians in a wide array of civil litigation matters. After several years in the defense of civil litigation claims, in 1995 Mr. Gianopolus took the skills that were being honed in the defense of individuals and began a successful plaintiff’s litigation practice.

Mr. Gianopolus’ focus after turning to plaintiff’s work included representation of severely injured individuals as well as surviving family members of individuals who lost loved ones as a result of medical negligence. Examples of some prior recoveries include:

  • $3.25 million dollar recovery for case involving delayed cancer diagnosis of adolescent resulting in death.
  • $2.65 million dollar recovery for the death of a 15 year old during childbirth.
  • $2 million dollar recovery for infection caused by retention of foreign object after surgery an ensuing treatment resulting in functional loss of lower extremity.
  • $1.9 million dollar recovery for the death of a husband and father of three due to failure to timely treat acute chest syndrome.

Mr. Gianopolus' practice, however, is not only confined to the Personal Injury spectrum. He also maintains an active criminal defense practice, lending his knowledge and experience as a former police officer to help ensure that the rights of the criminally accused are not trampled. Mr. Gianopolus has had extensive experience in representing clients facing both misdemeanor and felony charges of varying degrees with great success. Other services relating to criminal representation offered by Mr. Gianopolus include Driver's License reinstatement hearings before the Illinois Secretary of State.

Mr. Gianopolus also maintains a number of business relationships with various municipal entities around the South Suburbs of Chicago. He offers services in the realm of Municipal Counseling and Litigation, local prosecutor services and the developing and administering systems of Administrative Adjudications that can be beneficial to any municipality, both in the interests of fiscal benefits as well as law and order benefits to a given community. While the list grows larger and larger, at last count, Mr. Gianopolus has as many as seven municipal clients taking advantage of his services in one capacity or another. A native of Calumet City, Illinois, Mr. Gianopolus maintains strong ties to that community. A former director of the Calumet City Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of the Board of Directors of a local banking institution with 9 local branch locations, Mr. Gianopolus continues to be a person who is civic minded and thus extremely well suited to counsel any municipal entity that may be in need of legal advising.

Mr. Gianopolus has also cultivated an extensive knowledge base with respect to purchases and sales of both residential and commercial real estate. Having closed on literally thousands of properties, Mr. Gianopolus has encountered virtually every issue that can arise in the process of transferring ownership of real estate from one individual or entity to another.
